Measure The Heart

Written by: Rebecca Mangem

Every day, their lives are ruined. They don’t have a choice and option flee from them. Should we waste the love, we hold within us.

Every penny has excellent value.

Should we live happily and left our brothers and sisters behind in tears and a broken heart.

A home, they can’t build. A piece of knowledge they can’t afford. Why do we leave the poor behind?

Let us share our kindness, let the love that’s within us spread out as wide as the sky.

Please join us in bringing back education, and a happy family back within our people.

We have the responsibilities of showing them love and sharing each other’s kindness. We are responsible for their peace and smile even though it may only last night. We are responsible for giving as we all are a human being. Why treat someone who is just the same as you differently. Their mind and their souls are as powerful as everyone else’s. Being a part of this foundation will give you peace of mind by joining us in bringing a smile to one’s face. A mother’s, a father’s child’s or an orphanage who may be abandoned by their family. We will give education and share our love toward our people. We want to bring out the kind heart that’s deep inside of us. A soul that strives to share with others.

A child who is 5, six years old. A child forced to develop and grow fast to help a little bit of income for the family. A child who has a dream yet can never reach it while they only eat half meal a day.

A child who is eager to learn and get an education has stopped dreaming because there is no hope for them. This child dreams to get ahold of pen in her hand. She dreams to be able to read a story. A child that has the love for their parents is struggling to purchase medication for their ill parents. A family hoping to raise a healthy family has no more hope. A father working hard to supply for the family has no more hope after struggling every second to be able to buy one meal for a few days for the family. A mother, who’s crying each night in prayer for her children. Wouldn’t she be crying for a rescue, a help?

War and violation are among us, but we will hold each other’s hand and rise together. We will share as little that we have, and we will share as much as we have. Let’s rise along with our people. The happy and the sad person are the same people who have the same mind and soul. May the Lord bring peace and comfort to the orphanage and the fatherless.
